Hear From the Founder

Angela Medlin shares why she created a sustainable pet brand.

Better Products

Did you know over 90 million households have pets? Over 70 million of those pets are dogs. 50% (35 million families!) will experience the loss of their family pup due to cancer. Materials that contribute to cancer (Pthlalates, BPA, and PVC) have been used in millions of dog and human products. For these reasons, House Dogge offers thoughtfully resourced products that are safer for our pets, people, and places. Our goal is to disrupt the long standing production of toxic products in our family homes used by our loved ones. Let's do better together.

Love Heals

At House Dogge, we believe LOVE HEALS so for each purchase a percentage of sales is donated to nonprofit organizations that are rescuing and healing health challenged, homeless, unwanted, neglected, and/or abused dogs so that they may find their caring forever home.

Fueling Passion With Purpose

In 2017, House Dogge Founder and Designer, Angela Medlin, saw an opportunity to evolve her passion project into an artisanal dog product brand. The lifelong creative began unpacking the inspiration she had been collecting from years of travel and research. Natural materials, design objects, and clever packaging were placed on the wall in her studio as inspiration. It became apparent Medlin was drawn to the simplicity of design and function. This would become the direction of House Dogge. The brand has been featured in Oprah’s O Magazine, Sunset, Better Homes & Gardens, Design Milk, and others. The small batch collections continue to evolve prioritizing comfort, sustainability, and modern simplicity for the modern lifestyle of families with dogs.

Sustainability Is Beautiful Too

Who says sustainability should look boring and brown? We don't! Our products are designed in beautiful colors and are functionally clever with a modern, minimalistic aesthetic. Most importantly we keep the wellness of our consumer family in mind while designing for two legged and four legged family members, alike.

One In 40 Million. Less Than 1%.

Medlin’s career experience as a professional product Designer and Director at brands that include Nike/ Jordan Brand, Adidas, Levi Strauss, The North Face, and other global companies lead her to this moment. For her entire career in corporate design, she was recognized as one of less than 1% professional designers of color in the apparel industry. From this rare vantage point, Medlin led design teams in creating global products that solve problems for professional athletes, outdoor enthusiasts, and everyday consumers. Medlin continues to innovate with the same passion, natural talent, curiosity, and problem solving skills for House Dogge.

Medlin is, also, a creative coach, serves as a design leader on multiple advisory boards, and is the Founder of the FAAS Design Collab which provides professional development to under represented creatives desiring to enter the product creation industry.
